On September 26, they will host a citywide Town Hall forum on diesel pollution, inviting subject matter experts to help us understand the scope of the crisis, and a panel of elected officials and candidates to ask what can be done. In light of recent national events, many people have questions and concerns about policing. This friendly and informal atmosphere is a great way to ask questions, voice concerns, discuss problems and craft solutions together. In the end, police officers and the community have the same goal: healthy, thriving neighborhoods that are free of crime, dangerous conditions, violence and the fear of such things. Fifth Annual Westmoreland Park Salmon Celebration
Westmoreland Park portland, OR, United StatesThe Salmon Celebration at Westmoreland Park is an annual community gathering to welcome the return of salmon to the city of Portland, Oregon. Each fall we come together along the banks of Crystal Springs Creek to celebrate the renewal of salmon runs in the last undammed, unpiped salmon-bearing watershed in the city. The Native American Community Advisory Council to Portland Parks (NACAC) has been a partner with many others in coordinating the Salmon Celebration at Westmoreland Park since its inception and are excited and committed to continue this event for its fifth year and serve as host!
