Tracie Heidt, the project Community Outreach Lead and Tim Venzke, Project Superintendent with contractor JW Fowler, attended the SMILE meeting last Wednesday to answer our questions about the Sellwood Sewer Extension Project. We heard from several neighbors who couldn’t attend the meeting that they’d appreciate a brief summary of what we learned.* As with all construction projects, plans are subject to change.

Tracie and Tim acknowledged that the project is disruptive, noisy and dirty but noted that the sewer lines being replaced are 100 years old and in dire need of replacement. They thanked us for our patience and cooperation.
