Sellwood Park Concert – Friday, July 29
For over 35 years, SMILE has presented free summer concerts as part of Portland Parks & Recreation’s Summer Free For All program. After two years without music in the parks due to Covid, there will be music again in Sellwood Park! SMILE and Portland Parks & Recreation will present one concert on Friday, July 29, at 6:30 PM with Jenny Don’t and the Spurs!
Come on out to the park for a delightful evening of music and community! There will be food vendors and PP&R is partnering with Portland institution, Joe Brown’s Carmel Corn, to distribute free popcorn at all Summer Free For All events. All five flavors! Y-U-M
The concert is also part of Summerville!, a four-day midsummer celebration in Sellwood and Westmoreland, happening July 28th thru 31st.

All concerts will begin at 6:30 pm and go until approximately 8:30 pm.

We encourage you to patronize our local food carts and restaurants for food and drink! There will be limited seating but plenty of room, so please bring your own chair.
As a highly contagious Covid variant is circulating, please respect seat spacing and wear a mask when not eating or drinking. Let’s not contribute to additional community spread! To protect our most vulnerable neighbors we will have a seating area dedicated to wheelchairs and with mandatory masking.
We’d like to thank our growing list of partners and sponsors of SMILE Summer Music: Portland Parks & Rec, Sellwood Moreland Business Alliance (SMBA), Green Oasis Cannabis, Tom Dwyer Automotive, Milieu Collective, Umpqua Bank, Windermere Realty, Corkscrew Wine Bar, Sellwood Pet Supply, Lee Cannon American Family Insurance, Crystal Springs Partnership, Cypress Beauty, Gino’s Restaurant, and ….
Keep the music coming! Donate here to support live music in the neighborhood! Please help support this and future SMILE-sponsored music events — every dollar helps. With your support we can continue to gather for free, live, outdoor music in the neighborhood every summer!
