Rain or shine, the annual Sellwood-Westmoreland Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 10:00 a.m. sharp this morning – and since it is usually over a few minutes later, be sure to be early! It takes place at the south end of Westmoreland Park, opposite the parking lot area. The Egg Hunt is free, but please bring a canned food donation for those in need. Also, there will be a collection box for used eyeglasses and hearing aids. This is your one-stop-shop for getting rid of bulky items like old vacuum cleaners, mattresses, furniture, scrap wood, empty paint cans and cat castles upholstered in blue carpet taking up valuable space in their homes in exchange for a small fee.  You can also safely dispose of old electronics -- phones, computers, etc.  Please note that NO construction, remodeling, demolition or hazardous waste is accepted!  And please, no kitchen garbage or curbside recyclables at this event.

This is the first of three community meetings to set goals, create a vision and establish priorities for new growth and development that acknowledges existing character and supports economic growth and vitality.
