The Portland Picnic Wine Tasting Festival is back for its second year on Saturday, September 8 at Westmoreland Park from 11am - 9pm! The Picnic will offer an exceptional array of 100 wines from around the world sold at a price point your wallet will love. Not a wine drinker? Not to worry, we will have delicious beers and ciders from Breakside Brewery, Gigantic Brewing Company and Portland Cider Co. plus nonalcoholic beverages to enjoy.
The River Plan / South Reach project team is holding a series of topical meetings with community members this Fall to discuss challenges and opportunities associated with recreation, public access, natural resources and other relevant topics. We are building these conversations from what we’ve heard so far from participants and our knowledge of existing conditions. Discussion at these meetings will inform development of the River Plan/South Reach.

The Brooklyn Action Corp (Brooklyn neighborhood association) has joined a citywide coalition of neighborhoods to address Portland’s longstanding and worsening diesel pollution problem. On September 26, they will host a citywide Town Hall forum on diesel pollution, inviting subject matter experts to help us understand the scope of the crisis, and a panel of elected officials and candidates to ask what can be done.
