Every December a dedicated group of intrepid neighbors decorate the large fir tree on the bluff on SE 13th (between Bybee and Rural) with festive holiday lights. It wouldn’t be the winter holidays in Sellwood/Westmoreland without it! Come out to sing holiday songs and enjoy the first lighting on Friday, November 24th. And there’ll be candy canes! 6:00 - 6:05: Welcome and introductions. 6:05 - 6:10: AARP Livable Communities Economic Development Workshop: Vikki DeGaa. 6:10 - 6:45: Housing Regulatory Relief Project proposed draft report: The City has proposed suspending or eliminating some regulations for projects that provide housing in order to encourage production of new housing.  City Council is expected to hold a hearing in late December.  More information is at https://www.portland.gov/bps/planning/housing-regulatory-relief/news/2023/9/22/proposals-remove-housing-production-barriers.
