Neighbors Together Training
Training available for groups of neighbors who are in close geographic proximity and have shared interest in improving safety in their area. Training includes opportunities for neighbors to connect with each other, learn about current public safety resources and processes, make a communications and safety plan about their safety concerns in their area. This training is available to anyone who may be sharing space together and wanting to work towards collaborative safety-related solutions. 6-6:05: Welcome, Zoom protocols, and introductions 6:05-7:05: Proposed zoning change at 5515 SE Milwaukie: Discuss Hearings Officer recommendation supporting the proposal, the upcoming City Council hearing (not yet scheduled, estimated in May), SMILE testimony, and advocacy. 7:05-7:15: Design standard PR1: This standard requires a 12-foot ground floor height along civic and neighborhood corridors. At 1666 SE Lambert, RM2 zone, this requirement was applied to townhomes and their garages, increasing cost and height. For DOZA, we said this should not apply to RM1 and were ignored.
