As a result, the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) has opened a permit application process and released a “strategic framework for adapting streets as the city restarts public life.” These efforts will re-ignite safe business activity by reimagining the use of public space. A group of Sellwood businesses have come together with a conceptual plan for a few Sellwood Plazas that will utilize portions of city streets for business uses. Neighbors Together – Online Training
Neighbors Together is about connecting neighbors with an emphasis on community building. Neighbors Together activates multiple collaborative and creative solutions to community safety. This training supports neighbors to work with each other, with the City, and with community to better address a range of public safety considerations such as active transportation, emergency preparedness, personal safety, community advocacy, youth safety, and more. Looking forward to getting back to our September Sounds in Sellwood next Saturday, 9/19, with Irish tunes from Dan & Fran at 2 pm, and jazz from Dan Presley & John Gilmore at 5:30 pm. Hopefully we'll be able to reschedule Lloyd Jones and Whiskey Deaf for Saturday, October 3. Join your neighbors by Grand Central Bakery to hear Lloyd Jones (Funky good-time blues).
