6:00 – 6:05 PM: Introductions.
6:05 – 6:35 PM: 5736 SE 17th Land Use Notice Response: A land use notice for a land division at 5736 SE 17th (Tenth Church of Christ Scientist) has been issued and is available at https://www.portlandoregon.gov/bds/article/710411 . 23 lots for attached townhomes and a new public street connecting 17th and 18th would be created. The two large purple beech trees would be preserved. Because more than 11 lots are being created there will be public hearing tentatively scheduled for March 6. This notice is a request for response from agencies and SMILE for initial feedback. We will discuss SMILE’s response to this land use notice and testimony to recommend to the SMILE Board. The SMILE Board will consider revising and approving recommended testimony (for the March hearing) at their February 20 meeting.
6:35 – 7:05 PM: Recommend SMILE response to Recommended Draft of Neighborhood Contact Code Update Report: The report is available at https://www.portlandoregon.gov/bps/article/710696 . The public hearing at City Council is Wednesday March 6 at 2PM. The SMILE Board must approve testimony to City Council at their February 20 meeting.
