7:45 p.m. – Discussion: New Homeless Shelter coming to SE Portland, Brian Balla, Foster-Powell Neighborhood Association Chair, and Shaynna Hobson, Manager, Willamette Center. The Joint Office of Homeless Services intends to put an emergency shelter for homeless adults at SE 61st and SE Foster Rd. The Willamette Center in Westmoreland has been cited to them as a successful example. The Foster-Powell Neighborhood Board has reached out to SMILE to learn how they can work to ensure such a shelter would adequately meet the needs of their neighbors, both homeless and housed.

8:15 p.m. – Update: Transportation Committee, Scott Kelly, Transportation Committee Chair.

8:25 p.m. – Review of SMILE Fiscal Budget for First Quarter, Patrick Hainley, SMILE Board Member & Treasurer.

8:45 p.m. – Discussion: Friends of Moreland Woods & 350PDX, Elizabeth Milner, SMILE Board Member & SNAC Committee Co-Chair. A vote is needed to approve a formal MOU (memorandum of understanding) between Friends of Moreland Woods and Foundation Partners. A vote is also needed on a proposal to support 350PDX’s Portland Just Energy Transition initiative.
