SMILE Land Use Committee Meeting

7:00 – 7:05 PM: Introductions.
7:05 – 7:45 PM: Neighborhood contact meeting for a two-story eight-unit apartment building at 5316 SE 18th Ave. Architect Ben Hufford will tell us about the project, which will be subject to design review and public comment.
7:45 – 8:25 PM: Neighborhood Contact Code Update Project. Project Chief Sara Wright will discuss the Proposed Draft Report to be released in late June. More information on the Project is at https://www.portlandoregon.gov/bps/74046 .
8:25 – 8:30 PM: Discussion of whether the committee should ask the SMILE Board to streamline submission of SMILE comments on some planning documents. Should we ask to be able to submit comments for which the audience is staff (generally Concept Reports and Discussion Draft Reports) and the Board continues to submit written testimony to appointed and elected bodies (Proposed Drafts for the Planning and Sustainability Commission, Recommended Drafts for City Council)?
