The goal of the Community Safety Committee is to help residents of Sellwood-Moreland feel safer in their daily lives. We offer a space for anyone to bring issues of concern – often related to crime, blight, or public disorder – and come away more empowered. We seek to help community members navigate Portland’s bureaucracy of safety-related programs and connect successfully with the resources they most need. At times, we offer direct volunteer assistance, through graffiti buffing, litter pickup, or face time meeting with City staff alongside concerned residents.
