6:10 p.m.          Daylighting Intersections –To improve visibility, pedestrian safety, and to comply with State Law, PBOT will move or install No Parking signs 20 feet from crosswalks (painted or not) at about 13 intersections in our neighborhood next fall or winter. They will also paint red curbs at daylighted intersections adjacent to schools. These priority intersections are in school zones and pedestrian districts. We’ll review the list and discuss any feedback SMILE would like to give PBOT, including possibly requesting bike corrals in the vacated parking spaces.

6:45 p.m.          Reedway Crossing – The Committee will discuss next steps to have this project included in the city’s Transportation System Plan, with funding.

6:55 p.m.          Outstanding Neighborhood Transportation Issues – The Committee will identify and prioritize outstanding transportation issues that have been brought to the committee over the past couple years. These will generally only move forward if an interested party comes to the meeting to champion the issue. These issues include requests to address speeding, install stop signs, and paint crosswalks, among others. Interested parties should contact the Transportation Committee chair to let them know when they can attend this, or a future meeting.
