Oaks Bottom Work Party and Clothing Drive

Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge

Next Saturday, December 14, from 10am-1pm, we would love you to join Friends of Oaks Bottom for a work party during which we will pull invasive English Ivy and Himalayan Blackberry to improve local habitat for wildlife. You can sign up for the work party here. Whether or not you can make the work party, you can still support our winter clothing drive by bringing new or lightly used warm and waterproof jackets, sweaters, hats and socks, as well as handwarmers for the Willamette Transitions Project Shelter. We will be removing Himalayan blackberry around the Tadpole Pond to improve habitat for local wildlife. Please dress for the weather. We recommend wearing layers and water proof clothing. Please wear sturdy closed toe shoes, and bring a personal water bottle and snacks. Tools, gloves, project instruction, warm beverages, and light snacks will be provided. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Emily MacKay, their Marketing and Events Director, will share the long term vision for the amusement park and answer our questions.
