SUMMARY:Transportation Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:6:00 p.m.   Introductions and Announcements – Scott Kelly\, Chair\, Transportation Committee.  Summer Bike Bus every Friday to Sellwood Park where Sellwood Community House will have activities. Bike Bus leaves Llewellyn Elementary Scott at 9:50 every Friday\, with stops along the way. Begins June 20th. Get more info from Scott. \n6:10 p.m.  SE 17th Avenue Centerline Striping and Speed Concerns – The committee will re-visit a letter (unanswered) SMILE sent to PBOT in 2019 requesting the double yellow centerline be removed. The committee will also discuss a resident’s request for a new speed study on SE 17th\, both north and south of SE Bybee. \n6:30 p.m.    Daylighting Intersections –To improve visibility\, pedestrian safety\, and to comply with State Law\, PBOT will move or install No Parking signs 20 feet from pedestrian crossings (painted or not) at intersections in our neighborhood next Fall or Winter. PBOT’s priority intersections are in school zones and pedestrian districts. Other requests for daylighting intersections have come from the neighborhood. The committee will review the list and discuss any feedback SMILE would like to give PBOT to prioritize the possible locations. \n7:05 p.m.          Future agenda items. \n7:15 p.m.          Adjourn.
