Neighborhood Endorses PDOT Bike Blvd Project on SE Spokane Street

PDOT's Mark Lear explains Bike Boulevard Plan
With a large turnout, Wednesday night, PDOT presented its final proposal for the SE Spokane Street Bike Boulevard. The General Membership made a motion to Endorse the project design. After debate, the Membership voted 59-5 in favor of the project.
Project Specifics:
- 20 MPH business Speed zone on parts of 13th and 17th;
- Marked and signed crossings with refuge islands at 13th and 17th;
- Median barrier at 13th and 17th avenues
- Pinch Point east of 7th protects two lane travel
- Semi diverter west of 13th avenue
- Turning of stop signs to 9th, 11th and 15th avenues
- Added speed bumps from 21st to 7th
