New Calendars – Print and Online

2009 Sellwood Calendar available at Wallace Books, Looking Glass, Twin Paradox, Branches & Community Center
The Sellwood-Moreland Historical Society did such a great job on the 2009 Calendar (a benefit for SMILE, your neighborhood association), that it would be a shame not to thank them here. Thanks Dana and LynAnn Beck, Eileen Fitzsimons, Gray Whelan, Tammy Carasco and the SMILE board members. It looks absolutely fantastic.
It’s available for $10.00, with the proceeds benefitting SMILE, your all-volunteer neighborhood organization behind things like Sundae in the Park, the Easter Egg Hunt, representation on the Sellwood Bridge and Light Rail citizens committees and other efforts.
Inspired by the fine work on the print version of their calendar, I’ve updated the SMILE online calendar for 2009 as well. Floating over the dates on the smaller calendar should give you updates for individual days. Feel free to use the comment form below the large-format calendar to let us know about community events that we may have missed and which should be included.
I’ve noticed that the Internet Explorer 7 browser sometimes has an issue with the size of the close box when using the smaller calendar. If, like me, you use IE 7 and you’ re seeing a small, difficult-to-click close box when using the small calendar, I recommend using the larger calendar on the calendar page. This should be fixed in the next release of the smaller calendar widget. Other browsers such as Safari, Firefox and Google’s Chrome don’t seem to have this issue.
